COMPLIANCE WITH EUROPEAN STANDARD EN 13120
RED Cortina Técnica SL is committed to comply with the European standard EN 13120 (interior blinds, performance requirements including safety) as a minimum safety requirement.
Due to the new rules introduced in the European standard, you may notice some innovations in your roller blind, vertical blind or Venetian blind. The distance at which the drive (string or chain) must be off the ground has been reduced to a maximum of 1.5 m to avoid the risk of injury to young children.
RED SOLUTIONS
With your roller and verticals blinds we will supply a special chain joint, which will be released when a force equal to or greater than 6kg is applied on it, still keeping the smooth running of the roller or vertical blind.
This device is supplied on request (price € 1). In addition to be aesthetically well, it would be used to collect the cords at 1.5 meters of height.
This support must be fixed to the wall and tighten the chain so that it fulfils its function of preventing the child from being able to wind the chain around the neck. It is also sent on request at a price of € 1.
NOTICE
Children under 4 years of age can strangle themselves with the rope hoops, chains, ribbons and cords that make the product work.
To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep the cord out of reach. The cord may wind around the children’s necks.
Once the children can access and move up the furniture, place the crib, playground or any furniture away from the window where the chain or cord is installed.
Do not tie the laces together. Make sure that the cords do not twist or form rings.
